This month marks the 2nd Anniversary of Perfect Fit. Since we originated in 2019, we have been working hard to improve lives by providing free monthly social and recreational activities for children with autism.
IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE‼️💙💙
We could not have our anniversary banquet due to COVID-19 so we encourage each of you to help us celebrate by participating in our 2nd Anniversary Fundraiser.
These BEAUTIFUL puzzle piece wax melts represent the diversity of autism.
Red- Chamomile & Lavender... Let’s take a moment and set the tone for the beginning and end of our day... During these times we all need to be calm for our families and ourselves... We set the tone.
Yellow- Orange Blossom & Sage... Let’s think in a picture for a moment... Think about the sun kissing your skin and unlocking the energy that’s within.
Green- Eucalyptus, Spearmint, & Lemon... Clarity and patience are things we all need so we can have a (almost) perfect understanding of the world around us.
Blue- Juniper Breeze... Feel like one with the earth as you did when you were a kid... This scent and color knows no boundaries... It taps into peaceful memories that have been blocked by the stress you let in.
Thank you for all your continued support and love.💙🧩💙🧩
What is Autism?
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today.
Many children on the autism spectrum need help in learning how to act in different types of social situations. They often have the desire to interact with others, but may not know how to engage friends or may be overwhelmed by the idea of new experiences. Building up social skills with practice can help enhance participation in the community and support outcomes like happiness and friendships.
Perfect Fit is a non-profit organization that was created from social experiences and concerns with our autistic sons. We decided to establish a foundation that would provide social and recreational opportunities for children affected by autism.
Through our activities and partnerships, we hope to help children and their families get access to care; lead more active lifestyles; and grow toward PERFECTLY FITTING into society in their own unique way.
